In the evenings, we have a great variety of content, from African Rhythm or Jazz all the way to Australian Music, Gardening and Musical Theatre. The station is run completely by volunteers so every presenter that you hear on air, has volunteered countless hours building shows, researching songs, and preparing material to bring listeners up to date with news and events across the Central Coast. Coast FM began broadcasting in 1987 from a household garage in Woy Woy, a caravan in Mt Penang and a shop in Niagara Park Shopping Centre. These initial test broadcasts led to the launch of 2CCC in 1992. After a move to Toukley a year later, the station finally settled in Gosford in 1997. The broadcast power was upgraded by 400% so that the station could reach all of the Central Coast and parts of Sydney and Newcastle. On the 24th of May 2006, the station adopted the callsign of Coast FM963 and became the Home of The Classic Hits!
