Using the finest quality timbers and time proven cabinet-making techniques, they earned a reputation for creating amazing, timeless furniture that showcased the beauty of the timber it was crafted from. Jason Vila completed his apprenticeship with Rod Murray Furniture and went on to become their head cabinet maker. His time there helped shape him in to the true craftsman he is today and he has nearly a decade of experience. He takes pride in what he does and his attention to detail is evident in every piece he creates. Late last year, for personal reasons, Rod Murray Furniture decided to close their doors and offered the opportunity to Jason to continue his passion for handcrafting timber furniture under his own company. The opportunity to continue on the legacy of Rod Murray Furniture was an honour he didn’t take lightly and the business was transitioned over to him and his young family early this year. Now trading as Vila Timber Designs, they have relocated to 37 Ace Crescent Tuggerah where they recently held a Grand Opening. The showroom is filled with a fine selection of furniture, including rare slab furniture, all designed and handcrafted by Jason and his team.
